Bueno, he escuchado mucho de esta película (y que decir de la fascinación que ha causado su protagonista, Noah Centineo, me salió primero en búsquedas!!!!), así que , después de haber visto «the duff» estaba más dispuesta a explorar el catálogo juvenil de netflix, y que la veo. La verdad, me gustó. Se ven tantos temas y estereotipos de la cultura estadounidense (porque América es un continente, no un país, ojo), y los cambios más recientes, pero a la vez, ha vuelto interesantes a los personajes.
Se observa: el aspecto de los concursos de belleza infantiles y la madre nada agraciada obsesionada con ellos, como después de la discriminación hacia razas diferentes (una en específico) ahora, para evitar demandas, también les dan la oportunidad de integrase a todos los grupos, igual con la igualdad de género, la presión de crecer bajo la sombra de unos padres exitosos, el poder que tienen hoy en día las redes sociales, los grupos clásicos de las escuelas (animadoras, deportistas, nerds, perdedores), pero les dio un giro, la porrista no es la chica millonaria con la vida perfecta y resuelta y los padres más bellos (madre obesa, abandonada por el marido por una mujer mucho mas joven), el quarterback no es el chico idiota que se aprovecha de todos con la vida envidiada (es de hecho un buen chico, además que tiene un hermano que es sordo), y bueno, Sierra Buerger… ya la verán. Pero en verdad me agradó ver todos estos temas en esta película, y es divertida.
No será un drama, pero es una película que se puede disfrutar, yo lo hice, y espero que quienes la vean también lo hagan.
